After filing a Freedom of Information request, Free Press received the police reports from the night of September 25, when McDaniel students were cited at an off-campus party bust.

Seven female McDaniel students were issued civil citations and charged with one count of “possession of an alcoholic beverage by person under 21.” One male student was issued the following civil citations “possession of alcohol by person under the age of 21” and “furnishing alcoholic beverages to person under the age of 21.” One other male student was issued the civil citation number 2Z35101572 and charged with one count of “furnishing alcoholic beverages to person under the age of 21.”

Staying consistent with Free Press policy, the names of the students are being withheld.

Pfc. Launchi, who was the first police officer to arrive on the seen continued in the report stating that, “Several other alcohol related citations were issued by Sgt. Bible and Pfc. Garner.” The document lists a total of 12 other suspects including 4 males and 8 females.

However, only weeks later many of the students cited at the party can now breathe a sigh of relief. According to Captain Frischkorn, of the Westminster Police Department, of the 22 total citations issued, 18 of them were dropped while the remaining four will proceed through the judicial process.
