The McDaniel Free Press is excited to welcome its new co-editors, Emma Janisch and Katie Brill, who bring strong academic backgrounds and a shared passion for writing to their roles.
Emma Janisch, a senior double major in English and Writing and Publishing, is originally from St. Louis, Missouri. She joined the Free Press out of her love for reading and writing and has been an active member of the publication ever since. Emma is eager to continue contributing to the campus community by helping tell important stories and supporting student voices.
Katie Brill is a psychology major from Charles County, Maryland. In addition to her involvement with the Free Press, she works at the Writing Center, where she helps fellow students develop their writing skills. Katie joined the paper to challenge herself to write more frequently and looks forward to growing as both a writer and an editor in her new role.
Together, Janisch and Brill are excited to lead the Free Press and continue its mission of sharing news and perspectives from across the McDaniel College community.
