What is your major and minor? What other academic programs were you a part of?

English, minor in sports coaching.

What are some of the jobs you held while at McDaniel?

SASS tutor, peer mentor, peer mentor advisory board.

What organizations were you a part of at McDaniel? What positions did you hold?

Executive board for Fellowship of Christian Athletes as PR representative.

Have you enjoyed your time at McDaniel? If so, what did you enjoy the most?

McDaniel was life changing for me. Wednesday Nights in the pressbox for Fellowship of Christian Athletes meetings and hanging out with all of my FCA family!

Who do you think was/is your best mentor?

Dr. Mary was the best advisor (and friend!), Dr. Hoffman was amazing, and Professor Bartolain in the kinesiology department inspired me to chase my dreams!

Describe your favorite memory at McDaniel.

My favorite memory is Homecoming 2020. After the football game, I got proposed to on the 50 yard line, right outside of the pressbox that I met my fiancé in!

What are some of the challenges you encountered and how did you overcome them?

I was challenged by really finding my place and my group and who I wanted to be in college. I overcame that by surrounding myself with supportive people, attending FCA and making friends there, and getting to go support my friends at athletic events. My junior year I finally felt like I had found my McDaniel family!

What are your plans for after graduation?

My plans after graduation are to obtain my CPT (Certified Personal Trainer) and CNC (Certified Nutrition Coach) certification. I also plan on starting my soccer coaching career and plan to be a future CEO and owner of my own gym!

What would you tell yourself as a first-year student at McDaniel?

Spend every moment you can with your friends and do not take it for granted for one second.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with the McDaniel community?

McDaniel is going to forever be a part of my story. Do not underestimate the power that this place has. It changes lives! Thanks to McDaniel and all the people there that changed mine.
