 My name is Chloe Allen-Gorman and I am Physics Major.

 

What are some of the jobs you held at McDaniel?
I worked in the Gill center.

 

What organizations were you part of at McDaniel?
I was part of McDaniel Women’s Soccer, Indoor/Outdoor Track and the Society of Physics Students.

 

Who do you think is/was your best mentor(s)?
Sandy Lagana, the woman’s soccer coach, and Dr.Upton.

 

What were some of the challenges you encountered and how did you overcome them?
Being one of the only woman in the physics department was incredibly difficult. I relied on the support of my friends and family as well as campus resources to make sure my experience and education were not being compromised.

 

What are your plans for after graduation?
Go back home to Oregon and spend time with my family. Continue to play soccer semi-professionally while preparing for professional tryouts.

 

What is your best memory at McDaniel? 
Helping flip the woman’s soccer program into a NCAA qualifier and having made amazing friends through soccer and track.
