What is your major and minor? What other academic programs were you a part of?

Business administration major, entrepreneurship and marketing minors.

What are some of the jobs you held while at McDaniel?

I interned at AlertMe News.

What organizations were you a part of at McDaniel? What positions did you hold?

Student Alumni Council member.

Did you enjoy your time at McDaniel? How?

Yes, I have really enjoyed my time on the Hill! It has helped show me what I want to do for a career, and brought me some of my closest friends.

Who do you think was/is your best mentor?

I had so many wonderful professors it would be hard to name just one, but all of the professors in the business department have helped me. I would also have to say I was extremely lucky to build relationships in other departments, specifically sociology. The professors I have had the pleasure to get to know in the sociology department have been amazing and truly love the school as well as what they do.

What is your best memory at McDaniel?

Being a finalist in the Innovation Challenge sophomore and senior year, or my freshman year when the baseball team set the school record for wins.

What are some of the challenges you encountered and how did you overcome them?

I think having dyslexia, I had concerns about getting through some of the business courses that were math heavy. The SASS Center helped a ton as well as my professors who were always there to help during office hours. The professors truly want to see you succeed here!

What are your plans for after graduation?

I am still in the process of figuring that out, but hopefully starting a water company!

What would you tell yourself as a first-year at McDaniel?

Take advantage of every opportunity, and work harder earlier on. I’d also take classes in different majors. I wish I took a few more communication classes, as I am currently in my first one and have loved the course.
