Men’s Basketball at Gettysburg Wednesday, Women prepare to host Conference Tournament

For the second year in a row, the Green Terror Men’s basketball team will tip off in the Centennial Conference tournament, only this time it will be on the road.

The Terror (14-11, 9-0), whose loss on Saturday at Gettysburg (14-11, 10-8) clinched fifth place in the conference, will travel up Route 97 again on Wednesday in a rematch against the Bullets for the right to battle top-seeded Johns Hopkins (22-3, 16-2) on Friday night.

Tip-off on Wednesday will be at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5, although McDaniel students with a valid ID will get in for free.

The Green Terror women, who won again Saturday at Gettysburg, pushing their record to 23-2 (16-2), will host the Centennial Conference tournament starting with the semifinals on Friday and the championship on Saturday. The Terror, who clinched first place in the conference, will face the winner of Haverford and Gettysburg at 6 p.m. Again, students with valid ID will be allowed entrance for free.

The winner of both the men’s and women’s tournaments will receive the Centennial Conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
